Hol-Ry!

I have been told Northern Tier National High Adventure still has
seasonal staff positions available at both the C.L. Sommers canoe
base (Ely, Minnesota) and Canadian canoe bases (Atikokan, Ontario and
Missett, Manitoba). A great opportunity to work for the National
council's oldest high adventure program in its 85th year!

Most will be interested in applying for the Wilderness 'Interpreter'
position. This position is similar to a Philmont 'Ranger', however,
instead of a few days you will spend the entire trip (up to 10 days)
in the wilderness working with youth. This is a great opportunity to
work with tomorrow's leaders and experience some of the greatest
wilderness in North America. Applicants for the Interpreter position
must submit a completed application, recommendation forms, and be 18
years old by the time of employment this summer. Note, those
interested in working at the Canadian bases MUST be citizens of Canada.

In the past applicants 16 and 17 years old have been considered for
'On Base' positions. This is a great opportunity, but it is very
important the individual be very independent and mature. Staff
members quality to apply for a cumulative of $3,500 in scholarships
from the Sommers Alumni Association (http://www.Holry.org/) after the
second, third, and fourth seasons on staff.

Further information and applications are available at: http://
www.ntier.org/employ.html

Thank you,

Alex
