I had been told several times that new itinerary 28 is the most frequently =
requested. You get Baldy and Tooth.
Comments...
Historically, treks 27 and 28 (21 and 24 from 2000 to 2006, 15 and 13 before 2000) are year in and year out the most popular - they are the shortest ones that do both Baldy and the Tooth.
But that did not hold last year - #28 was tied for fourth with #5 (was #16). #27 was the most popular, but #3 (was #5) and #12 (was #26) were tied for second.
Also, while the past few years virtually every crew slot (2 each day) were taken for the most popular choices, last year there was only one (and occasionally none) on some days.
By the way, about 85% of crews get their first or second choice. Your crew is only competing with the 30 or so others that arrive the day you do, and there are 70 slots to put those crews in.
