The Mountain Man treks are pretty much the same as regular treks except a
couple of Philmont Rangers will be the trek leaders. They need pretty much
the same equipment as for a regular trek. After joining up a Philmont the
group will decide on what high points of Philmont they would like to see
and do and they head off for a week of fun and adventure in the back
country.
You should receive a list of recomended equipments from Philmont, but in
general good well broken in boots, good rain gear, a pack that fits them,
very likely at least a 40 degree sleeping bag.
