[philmont] multi unit tour permit

Jim is exactly correct. One tour permit for the entire council contingent, as long as all are traveling together.

And just an aside (and I apologize if I sound like a terminology know-it-all), the correct term is Venturing Crew, not Venture Crew, and youth members of a Venturing Crew are known as "Venturers", not Venture Scouts.

When we went to Double H this past year, we had multi units with one tour permit. I asked about it at our council office, they gave me a choice, either all on one, under my unit number, or each unit doing their own. What you CAN'T do, according to our council, is list more than one unit on the permit.

I've
got two crews going to Philmont in July. Most are from my Troop, but we do have a few Venture Scouts and a couple of Scouts from different Troops.

Can they all be included on one national tour permit?

Our troop has 3 treks for this coming summer. We are including a couple of boys from our sister venture crew and several scouts and adults from another troop. I’m thinking that one national tour permit obtained by our troop will cover everybody. Is that right or does each unit with participants need to have their own?

  Thanks,
