[philmont] sausage for jambalaya?

 Thanks. Our area has a large Vietnamese population. Do you look for any specific brand or type of sausage? Is the rice you used precooked like "Minute"?
 Have you prepared on trail while backpacking and /or "plop"(car) camping?
  I like to cook,especially on camp trips

 The dried chinese sausage will not spoil and needs no refrigeration. It makes an interesting chinese lunch dish by simply cutting it up and dropping it in the water you are using to prepare your Carolina or Uncle Ben's rice. Rice and sausage. Seems too simple. But good.
