[philmont] Merrell camp shoes--what kind?

Merrell waterpro ultra shoes. I'm sure they are last year's models since
there is newer version on the Merrell website at almost twice the price.
Cabelas had them on sale -

&type=product&cmCat=froogle&cm_ven=data_feed&cm_cat=froogle&cm_pla=0210801&c
m_ite=0054279824316a. I drove up there three times before finally buying
them.

Wore them on the Eagle Rock Loop last weekend as my water shoes/camp shoes.
They are fantastic. Light. Quick drying (won't matter at Philmont). Great
support. I could backpack in them if I had a boot blow-out (not starting
that thread again).

Moving away from sausage for a moment, I'm interested in Shane's comment
about Merrell camp shoes. I got on the Merrell web site and found a few
dozen things that might qualify as camp shoes. What model did you get,
Shane? -Jim Ledvinka
