Except for Mr. Nunn and Mr. Wright, I haven't yet heard from anyone
regarding our shakedown hike this weekend (May 11-12). Is everyone still on
board? Drivers? Questions?
It is important that I have an exact headcount.

Don't forget we have a shakedown hike scheduled next weekend. I am expecting
everyone to participate. We are going to cover a lot.
If a dad or mom wants to come along that's fine, but I need to know
beforehand what the headcount will be, since I am buying Philmont style
meals for everyone. I will let you know the food cost per person during the
hike.
I also need to know who can drive. I will probably not have my mini-van that
weekend.

Saturday, May 11 - Sunday, May 12 (Mother's Day) (WE WILL LEAVE EARLY SUNDAY
MORNING SO YOU CAN BE HOME WITH YOUR MOTHERS BY NOON OR THEREABOUTS!)
Meet at St. Luke's Scout Hut on Saturday at 7:30am and leave the parking lot
no later than 8:00am. Eat breakfast before you leave home.
Travel to Tray Mountain trail access north of Helen, GA
Be on the trail by 10:00am, hike 5+ miles, set camp.
We will eat a Philmont style lunch along the trail.
I will buy food for Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner, and Sunday breakfast (I
did not include this in the $65 payable to Troop 764 for common crew
expenses, so I will let you know how much it is per person).
Adults - Let me know if you can drive. We will probably need 3 vehicles.

Unfortunately the proposed shakedown hike scheduled the following weekend
(May 18-19) will not happen. Too many conflicts. I will see if Mr. Nunn, Mr.
Wright, or Mr. Myers can lead an outing of some kind on June 1-2 or 8-9.
Check your calendars. We might even do a one day hike around and up Stone
Mountain. That will help get us ready for Baldy!
