I wear extended wear contacts and have had no problems
at philmont. I also have had adults and boys who wore
contacts with no problems. It is easier if you use
the all in one cleaning/storage solution. This also
alllows the contact wearers to pool their resources
and such. You are correct about the sanitary conditions
and experienced contact wearers know that they must be
careful. I would recommend though, having a pair of
glasses for emergency. In the unlikely event the
contacts have to come out, your advisor would have a
much better time still being able to see all of the
trail!
