I have always worn my contacts while on the trail at Philmont. When I get
sweating or when it begins to rain, my glasses become worthless. I have the
soft lenses and make sure that my hands are very clean before I put them in.
I have also carried eye wetting solution, but never have had to use it. I do
have to use a small set of reading glasses when I am looking at the map with
my contacts in, but it seems to work for me. Hope this helps.
