Another aspect to the contacts vs glasses discussion that is going
on right now is the use of sunglasses. I never wear sunglasses
here in Georgia, but in 98 I took them along because they were on
the pack list. I just knew that this would be an item I would not
use. Boy, was I wrong. I wore my sunglasses everyday. The higher
elevation just makes the sun brighter. My sons wear contacts and
neither of them had problems in 98, 00 or 01 for OA Trail crew. But
they also wore sunglasses each day.
