Again, from the past weekend's Patriots' Path Council Philmont Crew Training
program....
Dwight Stein, a Philmont backcountry manager who was present to observe the
training weekend and to provide up to the minute information, reported that
the situation in the backcountry is drier than normal, but not as dry as last
year. Whether (weather?) or not there is rain between now and the start of
the camping season will determine what fire restrictions, etc. (if any) will
be put in place.
