In watching the waitlist for the last few years as discussed
here, your chances are pretty close to 100% of getting a trek.
I haven't seen a recent year when fewer than the first 100 or
thereabouts on the waitlist get the call, though there are,
naturally, no guarantees. Of course, the National Jamboree
year in 2001 was an exception with pretty high numbers getting
called. Maybe some who have been watching somewhat longer can
provide more feedback.
