Having done both ways (Trek 24 and 11), I'd actually prefer Phillips and the
Tooth. On Baldy, magestic, beautiful, and scenics she is, can't be camped
on. On Phillips, you can actually camp just a lil bit below the peak.
(Campsite #1 is awsome!) Because of that, I prefer Phillips over Baldy since
you can spend more time ontop of the mountain enjoying the views and the
weather rather than hiking to the top of Baldy and then spending a bit up
there rushing to take pictures before coming down. The North Country is very
scenic and mountainous, but the South just seems to have more "solitude" and
"relaxation" to it (and STOMP is awesome too!)
 
That is my opinon, and some may say I am wrong, but everyone is unique, in
their own ways!
