I took a co-ed crew to Philmont in 2000. Leave the deordorant and shampoo at
Base Camp. Your crew might get 2-3 showers during the 10 days on the trail
and Camp Suds works just great. When you have a bear crawling through your
campsite sniffing the air, your young women will be wishing they had followed
their Ranger's advice. Since you have a co-ed crew, why not call ahead to
Philmont and ask for a female Ranger. She will definitely be able to relate
to the women in your crew and serve as a wonderful role model.
