From what I could find out -- there has not (yet) been a fire at Wilson Mesa.  The current closure is due to a proactive approach to protect the area from future fires and in a response to the requests made by the Governor, the BLM and the forest people to protect what they can and prevent the potential of fires.  Can you say -- people are concerned about this drought!  Things are very dry all over the place.  Hopeully there will be a monsoon season this summer and things may get s o
Logistics is working on alternative routes for all.  Hope things work out for you this summer.
