We made sure that a conservation site was on our trek
and did receive the Arrowhead patch.
This would be something that you would want to talk to
Philmont about. The hows and wheres!
I contacted them early enough to make sure I got a
copy of the PEAKS book and a map. Between to two, I
was able to put together a trek that included
conservation, fishing, a chuckwagon dinner, a layover
day, pole climbing, etc.
The trek included by day:
Lovers Leap (ranger training),
Crater Lake (pole climbing and great campfire),
Beaubien (with a layover day, conservation and
Chuckwagon Dinner),
Fish Camp (the obvious), and
Abreu (Mexican Dinner)
This was my first coed crew and my first trip South
and a great trip it was!
