Our crews have used 2 gallon zip lock freezer bags for a clothes washing
machine. The disadvantage to using a zip lock bag for bathing is that
the bag is flexible and you either have to find some way to prop it up
or remember to zip it between scrubs or the water will run out.

The bottom half of a gallon plastic bottle is all you need for personal
bathing and I see no need for a handle. You really don't need much
water to clean yourself .

However, if having a handle is really important to you, the most
practical way might be to cut a round hole large enough for your hand to
fit through on the side directly opposite the handle. Leave the cap on
the bottle for rigidity. (I work in a vet school hospital and the large
animal folks do a lot of work with gallon containers. I've seen them
cut into just about any configuration you can imagine. The way that
holds up is as I described.)
