I'm in Austin TX. I have several ideas on place to go, I was just
looking for thoughts on the plan for different types of training I was
planning.
For the 1-day hike, I was thinking about Bastrop State Park or Enchanted
Rock State Nature Area. If we can get into a LNT class, our council has
a wilderness area we might use. For the rough terrain hike, I'm thinking
about Lost Maples SNA. It's got lots of ups and downs, but to get more than
6miles, we'd have to backtrack some. For the long distance flat terrain,
Lake Sommerville was suggested to me as it's actually 2 parks connected
by a 13mi horse trail.
if you'd like to know more about these parks:

I'm also looking for a cope course to kick things off.
