RE: [Philmont]: Changes in trek lottery coming?

To my knowledge there was no talk of increasing the 2 year rule, but I was not
in on all of the discussions.

Units with no web access? That was discussed. ~100 years ago, we all had to
get a telephone or use the one at the General Store. Web access is quickly
becoming the same - an essential utility. Almost all libraries have web access
and I bet that the percentage of kids who have it is astronomically high.

This sounds like good news. And it is to be implemented with
the 2005 call in procedure (or, sorry, registration procedure,
or, sorry, lottery procedure, or, oh heck, you figure out what
to call it)? Rough on units that have no web access, hope
there aren't too many. We'll see how it works out. We have a trek
in 2003 and were planning to try for one in 2005, and now they're
talking about maybe even increasing the 2 year rule? That's
probably ok too, since 2005 is a National Jambo year :-)

Good luck to the Philmont folks for getting this working!
