Karl:

Have you run the Tyvek through the washing machine? We used Tyvek in 2001 and
first ran it through the washing machine. It softened it up and made it easier
to handle and quieter. DO NOT use any detergent or fabric softener. Just run it
through a cold water cycle. The action of the washer puts a bunch of small
creases in it, so when it comes out it is very wrinkled. I ran it through the
spin cycle twice to get out the extra water that accumulated in these creases.
Then I set it out in the sun to dry. It comes out very soft and pliable but does
not lose any of its waterproof properties. Remember water only, no additives.

Good Luck!
