School summer vacation schedules probably make "ALL" dates unrealistic -
those who's vacations start in late May/early June would make the mid June
treks possible, but likely would be back in school at the time of the mid
August ones. And opposite situation for those with a mid/late June start
of summer vacation and a late August/early September start of school.

And, in any event, a ranking of the preference for how ever many days are
available to a crew (based on their school vacation schedule) would be
necessary.

Having been a critic of the former call-in process (even though it did not
directly affect my troop since we usually travel with the Patriots' Path
Council contingent), I am very pleased to see the implementation of a more
realistic and "user friendly" procedure. Will there be glitches? I'm
sure there will be. But the incredible inefficiency of tens of thousands
of scouters literally making a million phone calls will be a thing of the
past.
