These are my favorite, too. I think I've only seen one that was rendered
unusable in 5 years of backpacking. I've gone out and bought these for
every new tent I've had. When I find them on sale, I buy them by the
handful for future use. I think everyone in the crew ended up buying them
from my stock by the time we headed to Philmont. They aren't cheap, but
they are light and virtually indestructible.
