On my first trek (2 sister crews together) we had a crew leader that had
been a Ranger for 5-6 years who still had quite a few friends on staff. We
were in Fish Camp on day 7 and it was someone's birthday and he goes off to
pick up a "care package" he had arranged to be trucked over to the fish camp
HQ. As I recall, 6 liters of Coke and Sprite, several bags of chips and
pretzels and cookies. We got some strange looks when we turned in our
compacted trash at the next stop.
