In 2000 I had a Scout that while he was on the high school water polo team and
could carry about half his weight, about 60 lbs, with no problem, there was
language about the minimum weight. When I called and explained the situation
to the Philmonot Staff, they didn't have a problem. The criteria I was told
was put there because more often there is a medical reason way a youth is way
under weight. When we got to Philmont he went though the physical without any
problem. I don't believe they even weighed him since he looked perfectly
healthy.
