Re: [Philmont]: Coffee

In 1999 I was the ony person in our crew that drank coffee. I went WITHOUT
in the morning we had a cold breakfast, which was most mornings. My crew
didn't want to take time or use fuel for breakfast. We ate the oatmeal DRY.
Advisors coffee was enough for me on the trail.........and I'm a STARBUCKS
regular.

I would suggest advisors/scouts start cutting down on the caffeine a month
or so before your trek....that would include coffee AND sodas. Get your
body used to limited caffeine and your Philmont trek will be that much
better.........NO caffeine headaches. Start drinking more water before you
go too, WATER consumption is MUCH more important.
