RE: [Philmont]: Coffee

I have always thought that a good cup of coffee is an essential of
backpacking. At Philmont I opted to add a pound of Peet's Italian Roast and
the cone and filters to make coffee in the morning. In the mornings the
other adult advisor and I made fresh brewed coffee. The scouts caught on
quickly and within a day started saving their hot chocolates for a 6 a.m.
start the day hot drink. We never beat our sister crew out of camp, but we
always broke camp in a good mood.
