One of my favorites at Philmont is "When the Sun Goes Down: A Collection
of Philmont Ghost Stories" by Lori & Jared Chatterley.
http://www.zianet.com/legendsbylantern/ghoststorybook.html
The book is available at the Tooth of Time Traders.
During our Kanik Adventure in March 2002, I read two or three of the
stories to our crew members each evening. Most of the young people had a
good night's sleep anyway.
Another book (available at the ToT Traders) to consider is Bill Cass' "The
Last Flight of Liberator 41-1133" which is a detailed account of the lives
of the young men who died when their B-24 Liberator bomber crashed on
Trail Peak in 1942. Remnants of the wreckage are still visible and many
crews which layover at Beaubien hike up Trail Peak to view the wreckage.
