Dave beat me to it. Al Thomson's spreadsheet is the an extremely useful
compilation of itinerary info. I know he has painstakingly worked to get
the daily mileage accurate, given a variety of contradictory sources.

You are probably overlooking a couple side hikes for program or food pickup.
Al's spreadsheet points this out.
