Most likely there has been recent discussion on this - and I missed it. The
2004 Guidebook to Adventure lists 2 or 3 water purifiers/filters as necessary
equipment provided by the crew (Page 16)
I have been under the impression that Polar Pure is the recommended
purification process and that filters are unnecessary weight. Is there some reason that
both means of purification are now needed?
Sorry if I'm bringing up a long dead topic, but will look forward to hearing
from those who know the answer to this!
