If you're going rock climbing you're going to want something that ties.
I assume by water shoes you are talking about something that slips on. I
took a pair of sneakers. Really light weight sneakers. The only
requirement that Philmont makes is that they be closed toe.

Subject: [Philmont]: Shoes, not boots

What should we take for a second pair of shoes? We will be rock climbing
and
horseback riding. I was thinking of taking a pair of water shoes with a
solid plastic sole for relaxing in, but I don't know if they will be
acceptable for rock climbing.

What do I tell the scouts to bring?

Thanks,
Scott Sibley
