The water filters are highly recommended. We do still issue Polar Pure
tablets. Thanks

Tablets? Now I'm puzzled...I've only seen Polar Pure in the little dark
bottle with the blue cap. Perhaps a case of wishful drinking? :o)

Probably just a slip up the terminology. Polar Pure is in bottles.

Going back several years, Philmont did use tablets but I don't remember
the brand name.

Filters/purifiers are nice to have, especially when there is rain causing
the water in the streams be nasty. Filters/purifiers are also nice when
there is a dry summer and some of the water sources are not exactly, shall
we say, "pretty". In an emergency, a clean bandanna will work as a
pre-filter type device. Coffee filters are good too.
