You can fill up your fuel bottles at base camp and also whenever you pick up
food in the backcountry. Your food pickups are listed on the itineraray
sheet in the the Treks book. Generally, one bottle per stove will be enough
though some people like to carry one extra bottle "just in case."

Subject: [Philmont]: Fuel availability and interval on replenishment

Can someone tell when and how often fuel can be replenished along the
trail? This will be Trek #3.

I want to bring along enough fuel bottles, but not too many. We will
have 3 stoves. (one is a backup)

Thanks for any help that you can offer me.
