[Philmont]: Valle

This is slightly off task but does have a future effect upon Philmont. I
read an article in this months Trout Magazine yesterday that indicated the
drilling in the Valle may not occur. There have been 1796 submittals to the BLM
and of these 1774 have been against. The article indicates that part of the area
 is used by Philmont. Article talks about oil and gas exploration on public
lands and the effects upon the environment. Worth reading if you can locate a
copy. Trout is published by Trout Unlimited _www.tu.org_ (http://www.tu.org)
. TU has been fighting these development efforts in sensitive areas. Those of
you who are not members may want to join for $35 and support their efforts
to preserve nature areas for the benefit our next generations.
