I'll second that! I remember when my troop used a purifier to get water; it was a real pain, but we all loved it. Then Philmont introduced us to Polar Pure. The idea of putting iodine in the water was strange to some, but in the end it worked waaaayy better than our purifier! No doubt that Micro Pur will be just as strange and work just as wonderful in the end:)

I think we are making a huge deal out of the change from Polar Pure to Micro Pur. We have spent an incredible amount of electrons on this issue. Listen to your Ranger when you go thru your initial Ranger training. I don't believe that Philmont is going to send people out to die on the trail of dehydration.
