Buds are an addition to Thorns and roses. A bud is something you are
looking forward to tomorrow or later in the trek (and this doesn't
include getting pizza when you get back to basecamp)

Devotions, the chaplain's aid is given Eagles Soaring High. This is a
devotional that has a daily reading in it for the crew from day 1
through the end. Even if the people in your crew are not "religous",
it is a very non intrusive way to keep "a scout is reverent" into each
part of the day. It also alows for reflections on what has happened
that day
