This is also 1 Ranger's opinion. I wonder how many Ranger's there are a season out there? The Ranger we had in 03 was new and we were his first crew. Several times we helped him out. Most of the time he helped us out. It was a team effort like what Joe is talking about.

  Gee, I thought it was still a good thing to be prepared. Looks like some Rangers need to be a bit more flexible and be alert enough to tailor their training (or review) to fit the particular crew. Their job is to be sure that crews do things the current Philmont way for health and safety and the preservation of the Ranch. Their own Ranger training should point out to them that there are often crews who may actually come to Philmont well-trained and prepared - perhaps partly as a result of members or advisors participating in this discussion list....................
