You might check the Yahoo! Group Backpackgeartest. We test and report on
many things, particularly light and ultralight gear for - backpackers!

Subject: [Philmont]: Marmot Atom or Hydrogen ?

I am looking for a new bag... both of these are on my short list..

I am looking for some input from owners as to the actual weight and warmth
of each bag.

Any other comments or recommendations are welcome.

I want a 30 to 40degree bag (not quilt or top bag) in the 16-22 oz
range....OK here's the hard part, it has to be at least 62" at the
shoulders... I'm to broad for a 59" WM bag.

I was already to go for the Atom until I read a poster's comments on another
forum that quoted the Atom at 20 ozs. for the regular, thats 4 ozs. over the
stated weight of 16ozs.
That would be ok, but if the Hydrogen is actually 21 ozs. as advertised, I
would be better off to carry the Hydrogen, for 10 degrees more warmth and
only 1oz more weight.

Thanks for your advice.
