Interesting idea, but it doesn't meet the BSA Money earning requirements. The general principal is that people who give money must receive "value" for the money. SO a car wash or spaghetti dinner is fine. A raffle or straight donation request is not.
In this case, there is a calculation, but the person providing the money does not get any value.
