This is my first trek to Philmont and we're part of a contingent from the Bay-Lakes Council here in eastern Wisconsin. We had five Scouts and two adults sign up from our Troop and were the first ones on the list for Philmont 2005. Within a few months, two of the boys from our Troop (brothers) backed out. The Council filled the remaining seven spots with no trouble at all.
Other than those two brothers, we're the original crew. With our shakedown backpacking trek this weekend, I hope nothing changes because we have a nice group.
