The granola is very edible as a trail snack and I enjoyed it as such. Milk
was not missed on that but the timely energy it gave me on the trail was
much appreciated. The package is a 2 person package, and is certainly large
enough to share, but there was a limited number of Euell Gibbons palates on
our crew and so there were plenty of packages for anyone that wanted a whole
one.

Pine nuts were another matter altogether :-)

To the cereal you may add anything you want, but in '04 Philmont did not
provide powdered milk or anything else beyond the ubiquitous Gatorade. We
munched it dry (like Chex Party Mix with sugar instead of the seasoning).

In looking at the meals, I note some of the breakfasts include granola or
dry cereal (see #2, 3 and 5, for example). Are these to be eaten dry, or
does Philmont also supply powdered milk? What do you do with these meals,
add water, Gatorade, powdered milk or eat the cereal dry?

We have a prep this weekend and we will be simulating Philmeals and I wanted
to get as close as possible.
