Since everyone carrys a pad (either self inflating or closed cell) why not use Therma Rest's chair conversion kit. Its an envelope that you insert your pad and it becomes a chair. Crazy Creek chairs were good in their day and for non trail use but the conversion kit is great - why carry a chair and then a pad when for 10 additional ozs you can have both. We told our guys to take the Crazy Creeks back to the store and buy the Trekker Chair. I've used mine for 10 years all over N. America. Campmor doesn't have them right now but Cascade Designs has them: 29.95 for 20inch and 25 inch. I use mine with the Z rest, love it.

Steve,
I have a sling light that I picked up on ebay for about 20 bucks. I love
it, but I don't think I'd pay retail for it.
Coleman has a nice lightweight aluminum stool/chair (it has a back) for
about 20 bucks or less. Try www.coleman.com I think it's called the
outdoorsman, or maybe woodsman. It weighs 2.2 pounds. You can cut off the
back (rivets) and re-attach them with bolts and nuts, then decide if you
want a chair or a stool.

I am considering taking a chair.
Either:
http://www.slinglight.com/
Or:
http://www.crazycreek.com/
The sling light is 18 oz and has a headrest.
The Crazy Creek original is 26 oz.
Has anyone used either of these two products?
Any input would be appreciated.
