A unit can adjust the trek to the participants, Philmont has set itineraries
that the Crew must follow. That is probably the biggest difference. The task
of offering a weight limit based on trek selected would be daunting, but
probably more accurate. The most physical demanding treks would have greater
restrictions and those Scouts and Scouters whose shape is more round would
be restricted to easier Treks.
Not practical.
