IT HAS BEEN THE PRACTICE IN OUR TROOP THAT PERSONAL TENTS NOT BE
USED. THE PLC CONCLUDED THAT TOO MANY ALTERCATIONS WERE BROUGHT UP BY THE
USE OR MISUSE OF PERSONAL GEAR. ALSO THE BOYS DECIDED ON OUR THREE TREKS TO
PHILMONT THAT THEY WOULD RATHER USE UP SOMETHING THEY ALREADY PAID TO RENT
THAN USE THEIR OWN PERSONAL TENTS. WE ALL FOUND THEM TO BE PRETTY GOOD ALL
THINGS CONSIDERED. IT IS ADVISABLE TO BRING PLENTY OF PARACHUTE CORD FOR
RESTRINGING OF TRAIL HARDENED DINING FLY'S AND TENTS AND ANY LITTLE OLE'
THING THAT MIGHT COME UP. AND DARN IT IF THEY COULD ONLY FIGURE OUT HOW TO
MAKE WATER LIGHTER, TENT FLYS ( ANY BRAND) ARE REALLY HEAVY WHEN YOU GET
RAINED ON AND HAVE TO CARRY THEM WET. BE SURE TO WRING THEM OUT BEFORE
PACKING THEM UP. DOUG WISS T-870
