We had a great experience with the burro. No problems what so ever, for
us. The first day at Ponil when training, selecting, packing and
getting underway we spent several hours that we could have been up the
trail. It's just part of the experience. We had no farm boys in our
crew so they enjoyed the experience. We did get advise at logistics to
take some oranges from the chow hall before hitting the trail, just a
few, and when the burro (Durka, Durka, Durka)hit a small stubborn
streak to give him an orange.
