Gathered the mail today. The Outdoor Gear Guide was in! Christmas in May!
I have been one of the biggest proponents of Crocs on the list. I believe
they are the (almost) perfect camp shoe - ultra light, ultra comfortable,
waterproof, and hike-able.
Then I opened the gear guide. Take a look at the new Merrell Vapor (pg 22).
It looks like Merrell took a Croc and put a Vibram sole on it. WOW! Link -

Weight is 20oz per pair, so you are giving a lot back, but this thing would
silence the hike-able critics. Think I'm going to have to order a pair just
to see.
Now if I could just talk the wife into new Marmot rain gear.
