Did anyone see PowerMax fuel canisters in the backcountry commissaries in
2006? If so, where? I have been given three pieces of "definite advice".
Definitely available in the backcountry, definitely not available - but
probably at base camp, and definitely maybe - it depends on the day, phase
of the moon etc.
I have seen the discussions on the pros and cons of the stoves and the
canisters and our crew has elected to take the Exponent stoves. We plan on
carrying enough fuel for the entire trek but availability in the backcountry
will determine how much reserve fuel we should take.
