It all has to get from point "A" to point "B" every
day. And it all has
weight and bulk.

Happy Trails,

Roy Fisher

I was afixin' to tell ya'll to "think outside the box" instead of thinking "personal gear" and "my share of crew gear". But Roy said it so loveingly I just can't do better.

There is nothing wrong with you carrying the heavier tent and giving your Howdy Doody night light to your tent mate to carry for you. In fact, it fosters brotherly love, the 13th Scout law.

Gentlemen, before you start your Injuns, start your outside the box thinkin'. After all Philmont is Outside in the Outdoors anyway.

Know how many ways there are to skin a cat? Three. You can start at the front end, you can start at the back end or your can start in the middle.

Know how many middles there are on a cat? A A gazillion.

Therefore there are a gazillion and two ways to skin a cat, not just three. That should be enough ways to divide up a tent. If you need one more, get out a pair of scissors or a pocket knife.

When life gives you lemons, foul balls or idiots like me telling you how to solve your problems, attack the problem with a problem solving technique instead of old and fast rules like Billy carrys Billys stuff.

Billy can carry somebody elses stuff and Billy can give some of his stuff to someone else to carry for him and all the stuff gets from point A to point B just like Roy Fisher said it would.
