As the story goes, John Phillips wrote "Me and My Uncle" in a single
evening, in a drunken (or drug induced) stupor. The next day, he had
no memory of the song. Fortunately, a friend had written the song down
as Phillips composed it the night before. Not exactly the kind of
story to share around the campfire, but it's a great song.
