[philmont] Boot inserts/Gel Pads

I just got a pair of Spenco backpacker footbeds (www.spenco.com then on the right side click on 'Outdoor Series'). Love them ! Others in our troop also use Superfeet and they're happy.

Hey Scouters, any opinions or recommendations on boot inserts or gel pads to make hiking for comfy? A few years ago I had a great pair of EMS hiking boots but my heels got sore (not blister type soreness) and I tried out an inexpensive pair of Dr. Schol's Gel Heel Pads. Wow. They were great.
Thoughts?
