[philmont] Boot inserts/Gel Pads

I just bought the Spenco backpacker inserts after using Superfeet for
several years. They both provide great heel support. The Spenco's have
more padding under the balls of your feet. They both cost $35+, but they're
worth the investment for your feet.

I just got a pair of Spenco backpacker footbeds (www.spenco.com then on the
right side click on 'Outdoor Series'). Love them ! Others in our troop
also use Superfeet and they're happy.

Hey Scouters, any opinions or recommendations on boot inserts or gel pads to
make hiking for comfy? A few years ago I had a great pair of EMS hiking
boots but my heels got sore (not blister type soreness) and I tried out an
inexpensive pair of Dr. Schol's Gel Heel Pads. Wow. They were great.

Thoughts?
